At this year’s DLF Forum (October 9-13, 2022 @ Baltimore, MD), I’m going to present a data curation project. I’ll talk about how I created an interactive dashboard that finds energy experts by searching a research topic for the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation. This project takes advantage of Dimensions, a scholarly information database from Digital Science.

The major tools that I use are Dimcli (a Python client for the Dimensions Analytics API) and Dash for Python (a Python library for creating interactive data web applications).

This work showcases how the Univeristy Libraries provide data service to facilitate knowledge discovery and research collaboration at specific institutions on campus.

More details of this project can be found in this blogpost.
